Tyler Fitch's Spring2013 Opus

Introduction

Hello all,

My Name is Tyler Fitch and I'm currently wrapping up my final semester at Corning Community College. Afterwards I plan to transfer to a school in the Rochester area for Web Development. I like to play video games, mess with gadgets and read during my free time. As for work, I work at the Geek Squad (Cheesy, I know) which turns out to be a decent job while attending college. As a side note, I have no previous experience with programming!

Today we messed around with what pointers are, and what they do. As well as how they can come in handy when writing a program. All quite interesting stuff to be honest, I could could see how this would be a strong point for C language compared to others. We also talked about what certain symbols meant, what they did, and what they were called. ( %, &, *) Also some great pictures were drawn explaining memory, and how to wrap your head around it.
Last but not least, I finally got around to watching the binky video. Highly recommend that to anyone. Seriously changed my life.

We talked about some code in lab, and what certain aspects of it were and what it does. Then we had to write a program that would take all the scores, find the average, and then output it to the user. It wasn't too bad, I ran into an error here or there. Mostly syntax though so it was quick to find and fix.
