Corning Community College

CSCS1320 C/C++ Programming

~~TOC~~

Project: INTRO

Objective

To become acquainted with the wiki and perform initial customization of your Opus title and Intro sections.

Procedure

The aim of this project is simple and direct- to verify you can log into the Lab46 wiki, navigate to your Opus page, and to edit the title and Introduction sections of your Opus, customizing them as appropriate.

You are also to create an Opus entry for your first week experiences, filling out the appropriate journal section.

These will require both content (your information and experiences) and styling (wiki + wiki plugin syntax).

Location

Your Opus is located at the following URL:

http://lab46.corning-cc.edu/opus/SEMESTER/USERNAME/start

There should be a link to your Opus in the sidebar adorning the left side of this page.

Be sure to substitute “USERNAME” with your actual lab46 username, and “SEMESTER” with the current academic semester.

If you are logged into the wiki, you should be able to go to that page and edit it.

Submission

To successfully complete this project, the following criteria must be met:

  • Opus title section must be appropriately updated
  • Introduction must be suitably filled out
  • Journal entry for week 1
  • To signal completion, submit the URL of your resume to me using the submit tool.

To submit this project to me using the submit tool, run the following command at your lab46 prompt:

$ submit cprog intro http://lab46.corning-cc.edu/opus/SEMESTER/USERNAME/start
Submitting cprog project "intro":
    -> http://lab46.corning-cc.edu/opus/SEMESTER/USERNAME/start(OK)

SUCCESSFULLY SUBMITTED

You should get some sort of confirmation indicating successful submission if all went according to plan. If not, check for typos and or locational mismatches.
