News of the Day!

Introduction

Hi Hi, my name is Dejuan Miller, but everybody calls me Joe. Music, Anime, video games, and computers explains me in a nutshell. I was born and raised in Oakland, CA graduated from high school in 1999 and joined the Army where i stayed for 10.5 years. I deployed 3 times including 1 Bosnia, 2 back-to-back 15mo in Iraq. I've been working with computers since 1989 and it's become the hobby I love. I started school at Alfred State College where i completed my first 4 years. I transfered here last semester to finish what I started. My goal is to graduate with a degree in Network Admin.

  • What action or concept of significance, as related to the course, did you experience on this date? I actually got my commits to work on hg.
  • Why was this significant? I took problem solving with Joe and during the middle of the semester one of my hg file got corrupted to the point that i couldn't commit.
  • What concepts are you dealing with that may not make perfect sense? the step-by-step direction you provided made setting up my mercurial a snap.
  • What challenges are you facing with respect to the course? I took this course at Alfred but I had so many family issues that i could finish it but this start fills me with the confidence to pass this course.

  • The challenges of udr0 I had was the .xz zipping of the finished product of the different parts. Other challenges included not using hexdump(which in this case the project would have been completed within minutes for me).
