As you go help the firefighters extiguish the baze engulphing the reactor you notice black rocks littered on the ground.
Picking on up to examine it leaves your hand stained with black streaks
'Hey that must be graphite you think to yourself, isn't that supposed to be in the reactor core?'
As feeling of dread suddenly hits you think, 'no... they said the reactor could never explode....'
You start to feel dizzy and the taste of metal begins to fill your mouth.
Early signs of radiation poisoning... at least it won't be too painful right?
