-This week we had the pleasure to learn about the best text editor in the world called vim. Vim is an advanced text editor that is superior to nano. Vim has two modes, insert and command. Command allows you to alter and navigate the data within the file, while insert allows you to type. In order to switch between the two, you need to know which keys to press. CTRL I will put you into insert mode when in command mode and ESC will put you back into command mode from insert mode. Using the ":" in command mode, we are able to dive further into the expansive library of commands. Another trick we learned is while in command mode, using "/" will allow you to search for certain words or letters throughout the text in the file. Within vim there are many options to customize the layout of your text. Several features customizable such as the color scheme, tab size, line numbers, etc. Also this week we learned how to cut and paste which was extremely useful within the project of pbx1. With the -d command of cut you are able to change the delimeter from the default of tab. Something i thought was pretty cool about pbx1 this week is that we used the squeeze command from tr. Essentially this allows us to erase the space that is within the data depending on how the data is arranged. This week has been great but i think imma take a break next week. Although the usr0 project is honestly kinda fun so actually i think ill be doing that for most of the week.+This week we had the pleasure to learn about the best text editor in the world called vim.
