Singlebrook Technology, a custom software development firm based in Ithaca, NY is seeking a full time web and mobile programmer apprentice.

Singlebrook builds and maintains web apps to power businesses using Rails and JavaScript. We work with amazing clients from around the U.S. and internationally, including entrepreneurs, universities, associations, and mission-driven organizations. We’ve been in business since 2006 and are looking forward to adding another member to our small, close-knit team. Apprenticeships are intended to lead to full-time employment after an initial on-boarding period of 2-3 months is complete.

The ideal candidate for this position is a meticulous, detail-oriented and passionate web programmer who codes for fun in their spare time and loves working on a variety of challenging and interesting projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills are important because everyone at Singlebrook interacts directly with clients.

We are looking for a candidate who is based in the Ithaca area or someone who is willing to relocate to Ithaca. This is not a telecommuting position.

Education/Experience: Candidates at all levels of education and experience will be considered. Applicants should ideally be out of school or completing their final year, and available full-time during Spring/Summer 2018. Experience working with these technologies is preferred, but this is an apprentice position, so extensive experience is not required. However, a passion for programming is definitely essential!

Compensation: Tompkins County Living Wage ($15.11/hr) to start. Competitive salary and benefits package offered after successful completion of 2-3 month apprenticeship.
