======Project: WEEKLY PUZZLE FUN (wpf6)======

=====Part 1: 6x6 medium-level difficulty logic-grid puzzle=====
====Objective====
To apply your skills in the solving of a logic puzzle. We're now back to 6x6 grid sizes, while also incrementing the difficulty level a notch-- "medium".

What you'll likely encounter is that there will be more indirect clues (ie knocking something out directly from a clue in one area, which can have secondary elimination moves elsewhere on the grid). Some of the existing puzzles have aspects like this, but may not have as heavily utilized them as central means to solving the puzzle.

Remember, keeping track of what has been eliminated is just as important as tracking what has been identified. A lot of trouble or dead ends emerged when people were not keeping full inventory on grid box eliminations.

====Puzzle Backstory====

This year's Oscar nominations were announced this morning! Using only the clues below, match each of these films to its director and total number of nominations received, and determine the genre of each.

====Clues====

  - The musical received fewer nominations than Bold Service.
  - The movie that received 5 nominations wasn't the thriller.
  - The Illusion wasn't directed by Virgil Katz.
  - Thorn of Suns is either the comedy or the film that received 4 nominations.
  - Of the film directed by Tank Reznor and the drama, one is Silk Mist and the other got 5 nominations.
  - The movie directed by Virgil Katz received one more nomination than Maximum Risk.
  - The comedy is either Thorn of Suns or the movie directed by Virgil Katz.
  - The movie directed by Danny Trevor received fewer nominations than Silk Mist.
  - The film directed by Gabby Jones received 4 more nominations than the comedy.
  - Of the comedy and the movie that received 5 nominations, one is Sea of Dreams and the other was directed by Virgil Katz.
  - The comedy received more nominations than the film directed by Adrienne Day.
  - Silk Mist didn't get 7 nominations.
  - The movie directed by Tank Reznor received one more nomination than the film-noir.

=====Part 2: Word Math Puzzle=====

====Objective====
Logic grids are not the only form of logic puzzle; here is another one that relies heavily on logic and reasoning in order to sift through.

A word math puzzle is one where the numbers 0-9 have been replaced with various letters of the alphabet; it is your task to determine what number each letter maps to, and report that to me in the project submission.

For this sort of problem, you will likely want to take notes; all the various little tests you concoct to prove or disprove some relationship. This may also take a bit longer and seem more overwhelming, but really, it is just longhand math :) Remember to attack the problem in pieces, and not head-on all-at-once.

Practice some similar math problems to derive patterns so that the seemingly unfamiliar letters performing math can start to make more sense.
