  * Access to a thumb drive 4gb or more
  * Ability to follow instructions

=====Procedure=====
  * Go to Ubuntu.com and follow instructions
  * I chose to make my hard drive dual boot because it was convienent

=====Musings=====
  * With Ubuntu installed I did a bunch of neat things such as setting up accounts for other people in the household, and playing around with system settings.  I did however end up breaking it beyond the point of no return.  See experiments for what happens when you rm -rf.
