======Customizing your VIM session====== Since we'll be using VIM quite a bit this semester (and hopefully beyond!), we should customize it to make it even more useful than it is already! =====Create/Edit your ~/.vimrc file===== Open your vim config file: lab46:~$ vim ~/.vimrc =====Enter settings===== Here are some good starter settings you may find useful. Use your references to look up what these options do. set tabstop=4 set shiftwidth=4 syn on set cursorline set number set smartindent Save and exit when done. When you next open vim to edit a file, you should notice some differences in both appearance and behavior.
