======Grading Policy======

The grading policy is broken down into 4 areas: Journal (13%), Projects (52%), Participation (13%), and EoCE (26%).

Each area, as well as the overall grade, will be evaluated based on an accumulated points out of total points algorithm (as opposed to an average of scores). This totaling tends to favor those who consistently do work throughout the semester, and I want to reward that.

Letter grades are pegged to the following numeric values:

  * **A** (95.50 and above)
  * **A-** (90.00-95.49)
  * **B+** (86.66-89.99)
  * **B** (83.33-86.65)
  * **B-** (80.00-83.32)
  * **C+** (75.50-79.99)
  * **C** (70.00-75.49)
  * **D** (65.00-69.99)
  * **F** (0.00-64.99)

Any calculated values in excess of two decimal places that may impact the result is at the sole evaluatory discretion of the instructor (for example, getting a 95.497; if you've been a pleasant, decent human being, I may do you a favor. Just sayin'). Application of any 'rounding' or other result processing is also at the sole discretion of the instructor.

Bonus points, if given/available, are applied to a particular grade component (for example, a project bonus point will only pad the projects component of the grade).
